Crochet copper and steel wire
This large-format thesis piece is a spherical sculpture crocheted from wire, encasing a hidden light. Created through a meditative, repetitive process, it was born from the desire to make art that could create more art through its shadows. As illumination escapes the woven structure, it transforms surrounding space into part of the work, casting shifting patterns that echo the sculpture’s form and extend it beyond itself. Entre Sombras reflects on repetition as ritual, on presence and absence, and on the quiet alchemy of shadow becoming sculpture.
